This is my design
I recently got into merch design and for now I started with t-shirts. I’m loving the process and the end result, it’s something very different from what I did before. It offers me a completely different approach to manifesting ideas, and to see an idea complete, and being able to actually wear it, it’s just amazing.
make it raw, keep it simple
I don’t like most modern designs. I think they’re too obvious.
I love the more grainy approach, a few colors at most, unclean, grungy but with something to say.
In a nutshell it’s vintage meets dark. And when the design takes form, I think it becomes complete when it meets the fabric and it just makes sense.
The best t-shirts are those that make you feel like they were “born” that way and you forget about designs, printing, etc. At least that’s how I look at it. And it’s true with anything…movies, music, other arts, etc.
When you look at something and simply love it, and you get immersed in it, forgetting about how it’s made, that’s when it’s great.
They can’t all be great, but that’s what makes you appreciate the truly great ones when you find ‘em.
goth aesthetics, horror movies, things that creep on you from within
I don’t set up on a specific element or theme, I just let the idea take shape and take me where it wants to go. But what I mentioned above sure serves as an inspiration and I can go in a direction or combine elements from each one.
While I may take inspiration from certain themes, I strive to make the end result as personal as I can. The point is to design as close as I can to the truth of the idea that I have.
And other times, it can be as simple as “that would be cool”.
For now I just wanted to showcase my work and talk a bit about my process.
I am currently looking into ways to make the t-shirts available for purchase and in the future I will introduce a separate page dedicated to actually selling/buying the merch I design.
Another thing to keep in mind is that I am open for interesting projects, should you like my approach and style.
Meanwhile, feel free to look around and visit the shop if you like what you see.
Merch available in the menu.
