This is a long road, often with big gaps and obstacles. Most of it is done through photomanipulation. That’s what got me into photography and digital art in the beginning. I was obsessed with texture work and the things you can achieve in Photoshop through various experiments. I often looked at it as taking pictures and then making them look like something else, like a painting.

I was never into depicting realistic imagery through this process, that was not the point. I guess the point was…color, texture, mood, message. It is after all a creative choice. It was something I needed to do in that particular moment. While it has been my main focus for many years, I now feel the need to change direction. I still do texture work/photomanipulation from time to time, but my main focus has shifted. In any case, the imagery you find here is a result of that pilgrimage.
